New York Times: More Than 200 Republicans Urge Supreme Court to Weigh Overturning Roe v. Wade

When Louisiana passed one of the most extreme abortion laws in the country, it was immediately challenged in court. Now that case is headed to the Supreme Court, and hundreds of Congressional Republicans are urging the court to overturn Roe v. Wade.

A coalition of 22 Democratic AGs just came together to urge the Supreme Court to rule against Louisiana’s restrictive ban and protect the right to access abortion. Now they need you to stand with them if we're going to protect Roe v. Wade:

If the Louisiana law goes into effect, the entire state – more than 4 million people – would be left with just ONE abortion clinic. For many women in the state, abortion would be effectively banned.

Now the fate of this law, and potentially the future of Roe v. Wade, is in the hands of the Supreme Court. And while the court struck down a nearly identical law from Texas just three years ago, the deciding vote in that case was Justice Kennedy, who has been replaced by Trump-appointee Justice Kavanaugh.

That’s bad news for reproductive rights. Thankfully Democratic AGs are fighting back. A coalition of 22 Democratic AGs filed a brief urging the court to reject Louisiana’s draconian law and uphold the precedent they set just three years ago. But they need you to stand with them.
