Update from Congressman Trent Kelly

Dear Friend,

The 118th session of Congress is underway. I will be returning as a member of the House Armed Services Committee, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and the House Agriculture Committee. For the next two years, I will serve as Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces and Chairman of the HPSCI Subcommittee on Defense Intelligence & Overhead Architecture. Additionally, I am serving on the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Forestry and the Subcommittee on Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry. Through these roles, I will work with my colleagues to ensure our service members have the tools they need to defend America and conduct thorough oversight of America's National Intelligence Community. I also look forward to returning to the Agriculture Committee, ensuring our farmers and ranchers have the support they need to feed and clothe our great Nation.

2023 Congressional art contest

Each spring, a nationwide high school art competition is sponsored by members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Artistic Discovery Contest is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our congressional district. The contest is open to all high school students in the First District. The over all winner of our district's competition will receive two round-trip plane tickets to attend the national Artistic Discovery Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C. The winner's artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year along with the other winners from across the U.S. For more information, please click on the link.
