This is personal, John.

Growing up in North Braddock, I witnessed the decline of my community that
began long before I was born. How greedy CEO's decisions forced
generations of working families out of their homes and into poverty while
declining wages and a rising cost of living shuttered homes and businesses
all around us.

I witnessed how the air was thick with pollution from the Mon Valley steel
mills because corporations chose their own wealth over our health. How
billionaires put profit over people — forcing communities like mine to
rely on jobs that made us sick, while making us believe we had no other
choice.

I witnessed how Black families would unequally suffer under policy
decisions made by status quo politicians who had never witnessed or
experienced what our family had — and never could.

John, my work is
personal because it’s grounded and informed by lived experience. I ran for
Congress because my community, and thousands of other Black, brown, and
working-class communities across the country, are being left behind. Our
crises demand urgency, attention — and above all — solutions.

[ [link removed] ]I’m asking you today to chip in $5 or what you can in
order to help my team and I continue to not only fight for those
solutions, but also to fight back against the coordinated, purposeful
erosion of our rights by far-right extremists.

Pennsylvania's 12th congressional district can be the model for the future
of labor — a multiracial, multigenerational movement to deliver power for
all working people where every worker has a union. And when working people
are empowered, they have the resources they need for their families and
communities to thrive.

The first step is to stop corporations from pouring millions of dollars
into politicians' coffers because real leadership means always being more
accountable to working families than to big corporate PACs and the wealthy
few.

[ [link removed] ]John, I will always do
everything I can to deliver for you in Congress. Will you chip in
$5 today and be part of the movement for a brighter future
where we all can thrive?

Together,

Summer
