Friend: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell proposed rules for the impeachment trial of his buddy President Trump — rules that will shield the proceedings from the public eye, prevent witnesses from sharing their accounts, and ensure the trial is neither thorough nor its findings transparent.
