John,
Dozens of high ranking officials, appointed by Donald Trump when he was president, have burrowed into the Biden administration – some, hiding away from the shady actions they have taken.
But when a scathing report found that Trump appointee J. Brett Blanton abused his authority, wasted taxpayer funds and misused government property, CREW leapt into action, and demanded that he be removed from his post as Architect of the Capitol. And President Biden did just that.
We’re grateful that President Biden stood up for accountability and removed Blanton from his post. That action must be taken for other Trump-era officials still in power who fostered a culture of abuse and corruption.
Thanks in part to thousands of CREW supporters speaking out, Blanton was removed. Now, we’re determined to act the same way to help remove Louis DeJoy from his position as Postmaster General of the United States Postal Service.
Join our movement by signing our petition today demanding the removal of Louis DeJoy from his position as Postmaster General →
DeJoy, a North Carolina businessman and Trump campaign donor, was appointed to head the USPS by a Board of Governors that was controlled by loyalists to President Trump. Under DeJoy’s leadership, they slashed budgets, leading to slower mail and cuts to staff.
We have many issues with Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, including his multiple conflicts of interests and the fact that he tried to interfere with mail service during a pandemic and ahead of a presidential election, apparently to mess with voting by mail. So far, he has escaped accountability for his actions.
For the millions that depend on USPS, we deserve better than DeJoy.
By keeping Louis DeJoy on as the Postmaster General, the USPS Board of Governors is making a decision that impacts us all, given the seriousness of DeJoy's previous attempts to interfere with voting by mail.
It’s past time for DeJoy to be held accountable for his actions and to be removed from his post.
