Happy Presidents' Day, John xxxxxx!

As we reflect on the past, we also want to take today as an opportunity to consider the work we still need to do. That is why we are reaching out to talk to you about FUTURE presidents – the female presidents who have been waiting far too long for their chance to lead.

At Her Bold Move, we are building the bench. We are getting more women elected to office at ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT; building a pipeline that will flow all the way to the top. President Barack Obama began his career in politics as a state senator. Every future president has to start somewhere!

We want to see a female DEMOCRATIC U.S. president in our lifetimes – and considering women are 51% of the U.S. population, we really don’t think that’s a lot to ask!

Women are proven strong leaders – and we’ve seen impressive results from other countries with female heads of state or presidents. But here’s the reality: It’s harder to run for office as a woman.

Our team has worked with female candidates from every corner of the country – and we’ve seen the challenges and disturbing realities women face when they enter politics in this country.

On a daily basis, we see how female candidates deal with misogyny, double standards, sexism, and an onslaught of violent and sexual threats. It will take a lot of work to change the deep-seated sexism that has left countless glass ceilings intact for far too long. But, together, we can move the needle and use every election cycle to break down these barriers and get a step closer to a nation that truly represents all.
