10 years ago today, our politics was changed for the worse when the Supreme Court opened the floodgates for special interests and dark money to control our democracy in Citizens United.

Since then, special interests, and often secret money, have called the shots in Washington -- deepening the pockets of the already wealthy while ignoring the needs of everyday families.

This sort of corruption is just plain wrong. That’s why I’m fighting back against these shadowy spenders and working to put power back in the hands of the people.

The House has already passed the For the People Act, which would reverse Citizens United and get dark money out of our politics for good. But the special interest groups pulling the strings in the Senate have killed this bill to keep their influence in Washington.
