A note from
OCPAC FOUNDATION PRESIDENT
BOB LINN
| THE TRANSCENDENT FOUNDATION OF SOCIETY | We come to the end of a month devoted to those who once were separated from the God-given civil endowments guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution to all Americans. |
When Martin Luther King noted the ultimate importance of the soul as the defining marker of mankind, he gave us a phrase that would define a cultural movement devoted to Biblical anthropological thought.
While Martin Luther King was never a slave, Frederick Douglass was.
| |
He would, with the help of Christian mentors, find himself not only a free and educated man, but advising the President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Douglass never forgot the debt he owed his creator, as he told the President:
I love the pure, peaceable, and
impartial Christianity of Christ.
The strength of American Christianity provided the impetus to fight a four-year internal war (1861-1865) to guarantee these ideals to all. The freeing of American slaves is a testament to the need for governments and political parties to acknowledge law which is based on transcendent truth and not the ideals of mankind.
Political parties and governments descend into uncivilized, barbaric, and harrowing darkness when the Bible is rejected as the foundation for society in favor of untethered human thought.
It is why the pulpits of America must ring with the clarity and the theological depth of our founders. Only then will the citizens of Oklahoma, and the nation we hope to influence, understand the leadership each of us must bear if we are to maintain our republic.
When Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn delivered the commencement address to Harvard forty-five years ago (June 8, 1978), he pointed out to the young graduates that civilization must be grounded in the heritage of the “Christian centuries.”
| |
Four years earlier (February 12, 1974), he had been arrested by the Soviet police. It was on that day that he released the text of “Live Not by Lies!”
It was a message meant both as a stern rebuke and as an equally strong encouragement. He chided his Russian compatriots for having been willing to “surrender up all principles, our soul, all the prospects of our descendants” in order to avoid confrontation, conflict, and worse. He said:
As for him who lacks the courage to defend even his own soul, let him say to himself plainly: I am cattle, I am a coward, I seek only warmth and to eat my fill.
|
It was one hundred years ago (1923) that Princeton professor, J. Gresham Machen said:
Light may seem at times to be an impertinent intruder, but it is always beneficial in the end. The type of Christianity which shrinks from ‘controversial’ matters will never stand amid the shocks of life.
The shrinking Christianity of which Dr. Gresham spoke will lead to what Solzhenitsyn referred to as “the calamity of an autonomous, irreligious humanistic consciousness.”
|
Dr. Angelo Codevilla was an author, professor, and consultant to the U.S. Senate in Intelligence matters.
He wrote many books regarding national and international issues.
In his book, Character of Nations, published in 1997,he writes:
In modern northern Europe, established Protestant churches have acquiesced regarding the government’s secularization of society. In Catholic Europe, the Christian Democratic movement gave up advocacy of Christian causes. Throughout the European continent, then, politics has trained people to forget the soul.
In Rod Dreher’s forward to Dr. Carl Trueman’s The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self, he recalls Solzhenitsyn and then states that, “Because men have forgotten God, they have also forgotten man.”
In fact, because men have forgotten God, they no longer know who man is.

BECAUSE MEN HAVE
FORGOTTEN GOD ...
SENATOR SHANE JETT
HAD TO SAY THIS ON THE
SENATE FLOOR LAST WEEK
Watch Video here
|
MEN HAVE
FORGOTTEN GOD
That is why Senator Shane Jett had to take fifteen minutes to explain that mutilating little boys and girls because their teachers told them they might be of the opposite gender has its foundation in confusion, greed, and the desire to safely “fit in” with cultural pressures to acquiesce to a passing cultural fad. For the victim, the impact is not passing, but rather, the promise of a permanent and Hellish future on earth.
|
A number of those who viewed this video of Senator Jett’s presentation to the Senate have been brought to tears.
With 100% of the Republican Senators voting “yes” and 100% of the Democrat Senators voting “no”, the Senate voted to make these crimes against humanity illegal in Oklahoma. The legislation now goes to the House.

THERE WAS MORE INTRUIGE
IN THE SENATE LAST WEEK
Legal Abortion in Oklahoma?
|
Anthropological confusion, laced with heavy doses of narcissism, and Senators who have listened only to an American church which, like the German Church of the 1930s, is silent in the face of evil, has led to a move in the Oklahoma Senate to re-introduce elements of Roe v Wade through Senate Bill 834.
Its author is in search of moral high ground through citizen surveys. In the wake of a generation of silence from the pulpit, it has failed to occur to a number of our legislators that moral high ground is found in the same text to which our founders referred: their personal copy of the Scriptures.

In closing ...
It was not the slaves who freed themselves, but a non-enslaved Christian people who appreciated their freedom and did not think others should be slaves either.
On March 4, 1865, just forty-one days before his assassination, President Abraham Lincoln delivered his second Inaugural Address. He spoke of those who claimed to be Christian, yet owned slaves. He said that it seemed strange that, “men should dare to ask a just God's assistance in wringing their bread from the sweat of other men's faces.”
It was a free, Christian society that
fought a war on American soil to
ensure all men would walk free.
It was Senator Shane Jett, a passionate Christian, who last week plead for compassion, guidance, and protection for the children of Oklahoma.
It is the prayers not of those facing death at the hand of an abortionist, but those Christians already having survived the womb who are asking for protection for the innocent unborn.
| |
Our pulpits and our pews have much to do. Never has a nation been more in need of Christian citizenship in the public marketplace.
Let us remember that we judge people not based on the color of their skin, age since conception, or the trauma of youth. Instead, we seek always to guard and protect the living soul made in God’s image and therefore deserving of our Christian care, compassion, and protection.
|
We are in desperate need of returning
our nation and our state to Biblical foundations.
Thank you for your activism.

SENATE CONSIDERING
BRINGING ABORTION
BACK TO OKLAHOMA
THESE FIVE LEGISLATORS
SAY "NO!!!"
|
AS OF THIS WEEKEND ...
NO UNBORN SUPPORT
FOUND FOR SB 834
|
In the wake of the 2022 reversal of Roe v Wade, SB 834 came to the Senate in 2023 as a bit of a surprise. The Christian community celebrated the end of the heathen practice of abortion last year.
Abortion is a practice at odds with Christianity and the constitution our Christian forefathers established. As of last year, it was in our embarrasing and barbaric past.
Last week, a group of Oklahoma legislators (pictured below) from both the House and the Senate spoke about their perspective on SB 834 and the invitation it represents to re-open abortion crypts on Oklahoma soil.
Watch the video here.

Thanks to the members of the Oklahoma legislature who contact us regarding current legislative activity. Thanks to all the Christian legislators seeking to restore a Christian society defined by equity and equality under the law.
Note: As Marxists have been developing an alternate vocabulary in their mission to destroy the nation and replace it with themselves in charge, the words "equity" and "equality" have both been misused. Both are excellent words and have a place in American jurisprudence.
