With just over a week to go to the next end-of-month deadline, we want to bring you up to speed on the state of Sherrod’s race:

FIRST: A POLITICO article said, “Most voters tune into Senate races only days before a primary or general election, yet the next few months will be just as important to determining who wins the [Senate] next fall.”

THEN: Cleveland.com said our race “won’t be a walk” for Sherrod, and his first announced opponent is one of many expected challenges still to come.

NOW: CNN included Ohio near the top of its list of the 10 Senate seats most likely to flip next year. As the last statewide-elected Democrat in Ohio, Sherrod is facing an uphill battle to Election Day.

We can’t wait until Election Day -- or even the primary -- to get to work. We need to start now.
