On Wednesday, Governor DeSantis introduced a landmark proposal to protect Floridians' personal data and stop China’s malign influence: the Digital Bill of Rights.
The Digital Bill of Rights will protect Floridians’ rights to:
✅ Have private conversations without surveillance by Big Tech
✅ Participate in discussions on online platforms without unfair censorship
✅ Increased transparency about search engine manipulation
✅ Control their own personal and confidential data
✅ Protect students from online harm, and stop China’s surveillance and influence operations in education, by banning TikTok in schools and universities
Thanks to the Governor’s bold leadership, Big Tech will no longer run amok with no accountability in the Free State of Florida. We are taking back control, and this is only the beginning.
The Governor spoke at The Republican Party of Florida’s Annual Meeting and congratulated newly elected Chair Christian Ziegler and Vice Chair Evan Power.
While there, they celebrated the historic achievements from the 2022 cycle. ⬇️
Thanks to Governor DeSantis’ fearless leadership, VISIT FLORIDA estimates that the Sunshine State welcomed 137.6 million visitors in 2022 – a staggering increase of 12.9% over the previous year. This is the highest number of tourists ever recorded – despite liberal politicians and Hollywood elites threatening to “boycott” Florida over our Governor’s common-sense policies!

So-called “environmental, social, and corporate governance” (ESG) is a vehicle for the extreme Left to push their destructive policies on Americans by wielding financial pressure to crush dissent. ESG is a clear threat to the individual freedoms that our entire nation is built on. The Governor’s new proposal ensures that ESG will no longer be used as a Trojan Horse to force woke ideologies upon us.
This week, Governor DeSantis announced a groundbreaking new anti-ESG proposal that would ensure that financial institutions cannot discriminate against customers for exercising the right to own a firearm or expressing the opinion that we need secure borders – or any belief that goes against their preferred ideology: religious, political, or social.

On Thursday, Governor DeSantis signed a Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) bill, which empowers student athletes while supporting professional development.
Florida was one of the first states in the nation to permit student athletes to be compensated for use of their names, image, and likeness. Now, two years later, the Governor continues to protect these students from commercial exploitation.
“In 2020, we took a commonsense approach to ensure that student-athletes could control their name, image and likeness and be paid fairly for it. Now that the NCAA has taken necessary steps to ensure fairness for student-athletes, we can focus on making sure that those athletes are supported and protected under the law.”

On Friday, First Lady Casey DeSantis helped the Governor unveil plans for the $205.7 million from the Opioid Settlement Agreement.
These funds will...
▪️ Establish the Office of Opioid Recovery to oversee treatment and recovery efforts statewide
▪️ Implement strategies and expand programs that effectively serve Florida communities through evidence-based practices
▪️ Develop educational prevention materials
▪️ Improve access to treatment and recovery services
