Israel is facing a major crisis right now -- and we need our American
friends to speak out.

My children and I served in the IDF to defend Israel’s future and the
safety of our loved ones. It’s the same reason we’ve been out on the
streets protesting the Netanyahu government’s extreme-right,
anti-democratic, pro-settlements agenda.

Their judicial overhaul attacks the independent judiciary and the heart of
our democracy. Their changes to who is and isn’t considered 'Jewish
enough' could transform what Israel means to Jews around the world.

Their supercharging of settlements, demolitions and occupation pushes us
closer to outright annexation and permanent conflict. Another generation
of our kids sent to guard bulldozers and checkpoints. Another generation
of Palestinians growing up without equal rights.

Hundreds of thousands of Israelis are protesting because we all have a
stake in the future of democracy, equality and peace. If you’re reading
this email, you do too.

J Street is proudly representing pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy
Americans who recognize the importance of this moment, and refuse to stay
silent.

We're pressing the Biden Administration and congressional leaders to act
with conviction to confront Netanyahu’s extremist agenda -- and to defend
the prospects of a free, peaceful and democratic future for both Israelis
and Palestinians.

In Israel, we know there’s almost nothing Netanyahu won’t trample upon in
his drive for power (and legal immunity to a slew of corruption charges).
His right-wing allies are all pushing forward their own agendas, from
religious fundamentalism to a vision of total, permanent, undemocratic
control of all Palestinian territory.

But extremists over here aren’t the only ones endangering our country’s
future.

Netanyahu is backed by Americans too. MAGA extremists in the Republican
party, Christian evangelicals, groups which falsely claim to speak for
American Jews, billionaire mega-donors who fund think tanks and SuperPACs
to advance and uphold their right-wing vision for Israel.

That’s why your voice is needed, and why J Street’s work in the United
States is critical.

It’s why pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy Americans can’t afford to
sit this out.

If this movement doesn’t step up, the extremists will happily fill the
