SOUTH MIAMI HS HONOR ROLL BREAKFAST
|
|
This week, I had the enormous privilege of visiting South Miami Senior High (SMSH), an impressive school in the heart of our district. Its mission remains steadfast in educating the best artistic minds in Miami.
A good education can make a world of difference to a student who is willing to receive it, and I am so proud of the teachers at SMSH for inspiring our next generation every day. Thank you very much to the wonderful students for making me feel right at home and to its Principal, Mr. Hebert Penton, for the invitation. Go Cobras!

On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of chatting with Janell Rodriguez, our Air Force Academy principal nominee who received the great news that she was just offered admission to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.
One of the most humbling responsibilities of this job is having the opportunity to nominate our stellar FL-27 to our nation's military service academies. If you know a high school student interested in applying for a nomination, CLICK HERE for more information.
