• This week, the 118th Congress introduced its version of The Dream Act bill, which would provide protections for young immigrants brought to the United States as children. The bill was introduced by Democratic Senate Majority Whip Richard Durbin and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.  
   
  The Dream Act has been before Congress in some variation at least 10 times and has yet to pass since its introduction in 2001.  
   
  This fact sheet by the American Immigration Council provides an overview of the 2021 - 2022 version of the Dream Act and other similar legislative proposals.
