Call your Senator.

Dear John,
On December 18, 2019, President Donald Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives for abusing his power and obstructing Congress.
The next step in the process is a trial in the Senate. As we send this email, the Senate is debating whether to hold a fair trial on the articles of impeachment agreed upon by the House or whether to proceed with a sham trial and cover-up —designed to prevent lawmakers and the American public from getting the full picture.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has publicly stated that he will do everything in his power to prevent a fair trial from happening. His first set of trial rules reflected this intention, leaving no room for witnesses or new evidence and suggesting a schedule that would see testimony dragging on into the middle of the night.
The good news is that people across the country have raised their voices and we have proven that our voices are powerful. Our pushback has already forced McConnell to amend the rules for the better: both sides will now have three days to present opening arguments instead of just two, and evidence from the House will be considered during the Senate’s trial.
This is a good step— but we need much more to ensure a fair trial. The House concluded that President Trump has egregiously and illegally abused his power.
Call the Senate NOW and DEMAND that your Senators have the opportunity to hear from witnesses about what they know—including those who did not testify at the House impeachment hearings.
Call now and demand a fair trial: 202-224-3121. Our democracy is depending on you!
Thanks for being in this fight,
