Look, I know a lot of political emails are over the top.

But I promise – this one doesn't claim the sky is falling. I am not “throwing in the towel” or “begging” you for donations. I’m writing to tell you an honest update on our fundraising.

And truthfully, it’s not good. Here’s a quick rundown:

→ We’re only 47% of the way towards our $15,000 February goal with just days to catch up

→ Our campaign relies on grassroots support from emails like this one to protect this red-state seat, but contributions have slowed dramatically

I’m leveling with you. If we don’t reach our fundraising goal, our team will have to cut back organizing and advertising operations.

We’re fighting to stop radical Republicans’ plans to eliminate reproductive rights, erase Black History from school curriculums, and restrict voter access.

But for a people-powered campaign like ours, hitting every fundraising goal is crucial to continuing the work.

So I’m humbly asking Democrats in Alabama and across the country to help my campaign reach our February fundraising goal. Will you chip in $25, $5, – anything you can – and help us catch up before the deadline?
