Washington AG Bob Ferguson is leading the charge against domestic terrorism and our nation’s approach to extremism. AG Ferguson is recommending the creation of a commission that could change our nation’s approach to domestic violent extremism.
It would broaden the definition of domestic terrorism to address areas previously overlooked at the federal level, taking a more holistic approach using public health and civic engagement policies to decrease the dangerous effects of online disinformation, extremist and political violence, and more. This proposal is a first in the nation approach to domestic extremism and we applaud AG Ferguson for his use of innovative policy.
AG Ferguson’s actions are just the latest example of Dem AGs going the extra mile to protect the people of their state and they serve as a great reminder of why it is essential we elect Dem AGs. We need more AGs creating innovative solutions to matters of public safety. Can you chip in to elect Dem AGs in 2023 and 2024, friend?
