Dear John, It was nice to be back in Minnesota for a district work week! Here are a few things I’ve been working on recently. One of my top priorities is to fight for free and fair elections. Unfortunately, we've seen a troubling trend in liberal cities of granting the right to vote to illegal immigrants. On the House floor, I spoke against D.C.'s attempt to dilute voting rights by extending them to illegal aliens. Citizens, not illegals, have the right to vote. That is why I voted in favor of H.J. Res. 24, which would nullify the D.C. law. It’s important to speak against legislation like expanding voting rights to illegal aliens. We can’t let this radical idea continue to spread. On Tuesday, I joined Mark Fyten and Steve VanSlooten on 960AM KTLF radio in Little Falls. We talked about my committee assignments, the work that House Republicans are doing to implement our Commitment to America, and my recent visit to the Ag Bowl at Southwest Minnesota State University. |
Today kicks off National Future Farmers of America Week (FFA). Everything in western Minnesota is tied to agriculture. It is a source of strength for our district and our nation. Without our hard-working farmers, we would be reliant on foreign exporters. Thanks to the FFA for empowering youth in our country to be the future of agriculture. I support them through the Blue Jacket program and look forward to working with our future farmers through my service in Congress. As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support! With gratitude, |
