My friend Angie Craig, who serves Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District, was the victim of a violent, random attack in the elevator of her D.C. apartment last week.

I’m grateful that the suspect has been arrested and she is now recovering from her injuries at home in Minnesota.

Angie is going to come back from this attack tougher than ever — because that’s who she is and always has been.

When a judge told her, an out lesbian, that having two mothers was “not in the best interests of any child,” she fought back and won her adoption battle.

When she lost her first race to represent MN-02 in 2016, she shook off the dust and ran again — going on to win three terms in a row.

And when she was attacked last week, one of the first things she thought of was getting back to work for folks in her district.

From her work to reduce the cost of prescription drugs to her efforts to protect reproductive rights, I need Angie in Congress working alongside me.
