Transit service update Feb. 20-26: All weekday routes operating
*King County Metro will operate all weekday bus routes Feb. 20-24*, however, some individual bus trips will be canceled. All weekend routes and trips are expected to operate as scheduled.
Our maintenance crews are making steady progress on fleet repairs and are working with vendors to stabilize ongoing supply chain challenges affecting our industry. We appreciate your patience while we complete this important work. We also continue to face workforce availability challenges and are actively recruiting, training and promoting operators to deliver service.
Monday, Feb. 20, is President?s Day and buses are scheduled to provide regular weekday service.

RapidRide H Line construction update (February 2023)
Front of RapidRide H Line bus
*RapidRide H Line service is scheduled to launch on March 18!*?King County Metro has been working in partnership with the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) and the City of Burien to upgrade Metro Bus Route 120 ? one of our 10 busiest routes ? to the?RapidRide H Line [ [link removed] ]. We?re excited to bring more reliable and more frequent service, along with new stations and amenities to the Seattle, White Center, and Burien communities!
While RapidRide H Line service will begin next month, we do anticipate needing to complete some paving and punch list work throughout the spring. Specifically, there is outstanding paving work that requires warmer temperatures. This work will not impact bus service.
We will continue sending email updates monthly to keep you informed on what to expect near you.
Please feel free to share this information with your neighbors and encourage them to?sign up for project email updates [ [link removed] ].

Metromance: Two bus operators who drove straight to a fairytale!
We love all our couples who?ve met on transit, but this year?s Metromance couple is extra special to us: They met while working as Metro operators!
The year was 1981. Paul Schwartz and Debra Revere were both assigned to our Ryerson Base in Seattle. Paul had begun driving for Metro in 1979 and Debra in 1980. In a truly perfect Metro moment, the two met in the base bullpen (the lobby for operators). Their first conversation: Discussing Paul?s selection as Operator of the Month.
Read more about this couple's love story and the song they had written about them meeting on Metro for the NPR show Prairie Home Companion on our blog [ [link removed] ].
