Let's review the facts:

First, it took House Republicans four chaotic days and 15 ballots just to confirm a Speaker. To gain control, Kevin McCarthy was forced to make concessions to some of the most dangerous extremist lawmakers in our country.

Then, during last week's State of the Union address, McCarthy's lack of control over his caucus was on full display as several of those far-right Republicans loudly heckled President Biden.

Now, Social Security, Medicare, abortion access and other critical rights and benefits are on the GOP's chopping block – and our slim Democratic Senate majority is the last line of defense.
