Letter from the Mayor
Dear Washingtonians,
Last year, we set an important goal: to add 20,000 new Black homeowners by 2030.?This week, we celebrated Black History Month by connecting more Washingtonians to the resources and tools to move us closer to our goal. At our Housing Resource Center, nearly 40 DC residents received their Home Purchase Assistance Program (HPAP) certificates and moved one step closer to realizing their own homeownership dreams. Tomorrow, hundreds of residents will attend our Black Homeownership Workshop at the MLK Jr. Memorial Library.
We heard from Harry and Tony about their path to homeownership. They also shared words of encouragement for others who are using HPAP ? stick to it and don't give up.

If you are interested in starting or finding the next step in your own homeownership journey, go to frontdoor.dc.gov [ [link removed] ] to learn more about the programs and resources available to DC residents.
Sincerely,
Muriel Bowser
