This is how SEEC Members build off of our major climate wins, John.
John,
We wanted to share with you an exciting new development being undertaken by SEEC this Congress. As part of our members’ ongoing efforts to create an all-systems approach to tackling the climate crisis, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Climate and Agriculture Task Force for the 118th Congress.
This task force, led by Reps. Chellie Pingree (ME-1) and Kim Schrier (WA-8) is laser-focused on the biggest climate policy opportunity this year: the Farm Bill.
The Climate and Agriculture Task Force will build on the increasing engagement by American farmers on climate change issues and ensure that this is the most climate-friendly Farm Bill Congress has ever considered. SEEC members are determined to find creative and common-ground ways to advance climate legislation. Will you support this important work by chipping in $15 or more today?
This is how SEEC Members build off of our major climate wins, John.
Last year, they passed the Inflation Reduction Act that provided historic climate investments, including through agriculture and forestry. Now, the Farm Bill is our best shot at ensuring farmers have the resources they need to continue being climate-fighting warriors.
SEEC Members are redoubling their efforts to tackle the climate crisis by planning ahead toward the next opportunities for meaningful climate action.
Thanks to your help in 2022, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future.
