NM House Bill 7, the Reproductive and Gender-Affirming Health Care Freedom Act, would be a significant step forward for defending healthcare care freedom in New Mexico. This bill, which will ensure that public bodies, including local governments, can’t discriminate against anyone’s right to care is a safeguard against efforts to restrict reproductive and gender-affirming health care in New Mexico.
This comes after Lea County, the city of Hobbs, the town of Clovis, and Roosevelt County all passed ordinances to prevent people from getting abortions.
House Bill 7, sponsored by Democrats in both the House and Senate, demonstrates just how important our work is here at DPNM to elect Dems up-and-down the ballot across NM.
