*DirecTV needs to reinstate Newsmax NOW!*

Last month, DirecTV made the decision to dump Newsmax, making the popular conservative news outlet the latest victim of woke corporate culture. In response, CPAC issued a letter standing by the conservative news channel and strongly urging DirecTV to reinstate Newsmax. The deplatforming of Newsmax is just another example of the concerted effort to censor conservative voices and genuine journalism by BIG TECH.

The New York Times released a series of ratings last week on Republican representatives in Congress. The newspaper’s findings apparently indicate a shift towards conservatism in Republican elected officials. One such finding, using American Conservative Union’s ratings of individual representatives, showed the majority of the 222 Republicans in the House of Representatives to have between a 70% and 100% conservative rating. Other statistics revealed the majority of freshmen Republicans in the House challenge the 2020 election results and that most Republicans who lost their primaries did not challenge the 2020 election and sat on the January 6 committee. Are conservatives becoming the majority in the Republican Party?

Charles McCall, Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, introduced the Education Choice Reform Package on February 16, incentivizing private and homeschool education in the Sooner state. The bill proposes to provide parents who send their children to private or religious schools with a $5,000 tax credit per child and a $2,500 tax credit per child to homeschooling parents. CPAC celebrates Oklahoma’s strides in encouraging school choice and parental rights while improving the state’s education system.
