96 Under the Biden Administration, Leadership is Lost "It's hard
to believe this has to be said, but unlike this president, I’ll do my
job and take responsibility. I won’t blame others.”

That was
then-candidate Joe Biden in 2020.

The Joe Biden of today seems to
have forgotten those words, as he — and many others in his
administration — refuse to take responsibility for anything and show any
resemblance of leadership.

Early this month, President Biden was
asked by a reporter if he took any blame for inflation. He responded by
saying, "Do I take any blame for inflation? No. It was already here when
I got here, man." Of course, inflation was at just 1.4% when he took
office, and he gladly signed the Democrats' American Rescue Plan that
pumped an additional $1.9 trillion of stimulus into the economy.
Inflation began to surge shortly thereafter as the bill came to be
referred to as the "original sin" of inflation.

So much for "the buck
stops with me."

But that's just one example of many. What about the
Afghanistan withdrawal? The crisis at the southern border? Gas prices?
I'm sure that you could name more.

And he's not the only one.
Yesterday, Secretary Buttigieg, when discussing the train derailment
disaster in Ohio stated, "While this horrible situation has gotten a
particularly high amount of attention, there are roughly 1,000 cases a
year of a train derailing." This was days after he waited 10 days to
even address the disaster and the role his agency would be playing in
response to it.

In this administration, leadership is lost.

Governor Holcomb's Week That WasBanned from
Russia, Hosting Many Visitors Governor Eric Holcomb chats with a kiddo
during the Childhood Cancer Action Day at the statehouse.
This week,
Governor Eric Holcomb was one of 77 Americans to receive the news that
they had been sanctioned by the Russian government in retaliation for
anti-Russian actions taken by the United States. As a part of the "black
list," Gov. Holcomb has been permanently banned from entering the
country.

Here's what he had to say upon receiving the news on
Tuesday.

"Couldn't have received sweeter news on Valentine's Day,
other than the gift of freedom and liberty to the Russian people living
under Putin's oppressive reign."

Gov. Holcomb also spent the week
hosting numerous Hoosiers from across the state, meeting with members of
the Arc of Indiana, cadets of the Indiana Civil Air Patrol, the
Noblesville High School Jazz Ensemble, Queens from Indiana, and also
attended Childhood Cancer Action Day at the statehouse.

 Thank You,
Huck Matt Huckleby, the executive director of the Indiana Republican
Party, will step down from the position he's held since he was first
appointed in 2017; today is his last day.

Throughout his tenure,
Huckleby worked alongside the chairman, the state committee and its
members, and numerous staff to develop and execute a strategy that has
led the party to unprecedented success over the past four election
cycles.

He will now serve as Vice President at MO Strategies.

"I
have had the great fortune to work with the best state party staff in
the country, work for amazing candidates and party leaders from governor
to mayors and county commissioners and so many county chairmen," stated
Huckleby. "Together we have worked to build our party and ensure our
candidates have the best infrastructure to carry them to victory."
Thank you, "Huck," for your years of service, for your mentorship, and
all you have done to make the Indiana Republican Party the best state
party in the nation.

Another Busy Week at the Statehouse Bills continue to move out
of committees at the statehouse, while others have moved from one
chamber to the other.

Priority Bills of House Republicans

No
priority bills passed the chamber this week (as of this writing), but
bills continue to move with a few on a second reading. So far, HBs
1005, 1006, and 1007 have passed.

Priority Bills of Senate
Republicans

This week,
[link removed] SB 1, passed the
chamber. SB 1 bolsters and expands access to mental health services for
Hoosiers across the state by requiring the state Division of Mental
Health and Addiction to create a toll-free helpline to offer
confidential assistance and referrals to callers. It also calls for an
expansion of mental health clinics across the state, among other
things. Other priority bills have cleared committees and are on a
second reading.

Many other bills are moving. To stay up-to-date,

Washington Examiner: Finally unity: Public crushed by Bidenflation, 77%
agree
Last week, President Biden claimed that he's made real progress
on delivering his "Unity Agenda."

It's true, at least in one
respect.

Washington Examiner:

President Joe Biden can finally say that he has
united the country on at least one issue.

Democrats, Republicans,
and independents agree that the president’s inflationary policies are
crushing them financially.

In the latest
[link removed]
ardship-from-bidenflation-ii-tipp-poll/ I&I/TIPP poll, taken Feb. 1-3
from 1,358 adults across the nation, 77% overall said that inflation is
causing financial hardship.

“This was one poll where Republicans,
Democrats and independents all see eye-to-eye, with 75% of Democrats,
81% of Republicans, and 75% of independents saying they suffer the
wrath of out-of-control inflation,” said the analysis.

Story
continues.
