‌Every American deserves to live without the fear of gun violence in their communities, John.

But in just the first months of 2023, our country has lost 4,600 lives to gun violence. 63 mass shootings have already been recorded so far.

It’s vital that Congress continues to pass more gun safety legislation that can help stem the tide of American gun deaths. Last year, I was proud to help negotiate the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act—the most significant gun safety legislation in decades. In 2023, Congress ought to go even further to save lives and end gun violence.

By passing important pieces of legislation like Ethan's Law – a bill I introduced this month to tackle the dangers of unsafe gun storage and prevent accidental gun deaths in the home – and the Keep Americans Safe Act, which would ban magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition, we could take crucial steps towards ending gun violence in America this year.

Now is the time to say enough is enough. Will you add your name next to mine if you agree we need to pass gun safety reform to fight the gun violence epidemic? >> [link removed]
