Republicans in Congress have a long history of supporting plans to cut two of our most essential programs: Social Security and Medicare. More than 60 million seniors would be impacted by those cuts if they happen.

Only because we spoke up and fought back are Speaker McCarthy and his allies beginning to publicly walk back their plans to cut two essential programs—but their words do not match their actions.
