Today marks exactly ten years since the Supreme Court handed down its Citizens United decision.

It was a step backward for our whole country.

Since then, the special interests have wreaked havoc on our elections, spending billions to consolidate their power and drown out the voices of working Americans.

That's why, since the day I kicked off my campaign, I've called on Senator Ed Markey to take the People's Pledge, to make sure the voters – not outside special interests and dark money – drive this election.

No Super PACs, no independent expenditures, no DC campaign committees, no party apparatuses, no interest groups – just individual donations from real people.

Ed Markey has declined to sign the People's Pledge to keep dark money out of this election. We need to stand together to show him we reject dark money. We must make it clear that it's not enough for Democrats to talk about values – we need put them in action.

Make a contribution now to fuel our people-driven campaign. Together we must fight for a clean, transparent election funded by people – not special interests.

No more dark money in our politics.
