Blame California Environmental Policies for the Spike in Natural Gas Prices

Natural gas prices more than tripled in California last month. Though forecasts are telling us relief has arrived with February, Newsom wants answers about what happened in January. In his Feb. 6 letter to the chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the governor asked for “immediate attention,” as “California’s residential customers are, consequentially, suffering the economic burden of extreme and unexpectedly high gas and electric utility bills.”

California farmers can reduce emissions and feed the world with regenerative farming

A handful of California farmers, ranging from wine growers in Sonoma to chicken raisers in San Diego, are embracing “regenerative” methods to boost the health of their flocks and crops.

But many Golden State farmers are still skeptical, largely because regenerative farming is stereotypically viewed as a new-age, hippie practice, courtesy of its emphasis on reducing emissions and promoting biodiversity.

California Has "Been There, Done That" On Push For Gas Stove Ban

News that the federal government is considering a ban on the sale of new gas stoves – “everything’s on the table” says a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commissioner – sparked a national outrage.

Though the White House was forced to quickly issue a statement that the President opposed such a ban, the Commission “has been considering action on gas stoves for months” according to CNN.  It is an independent body that can adopt regulations without Biden’s consent.
