Imagine a lush rainforest abundant with towering trees, breathtaking waterfalls, singing birds, and iconic wildlife like Sumatran tigers and orangutan families. The rainforests of Indonesia are home to all of these and more -- but they’re under threat as agribusiness companies grab these lands and convert them to plantations for profit -- violating human rights and harming wildlife and the planet in the process. Protect wildlife, people, and the planet, and rush your $27 donation to help us reach our $3,185 goal by midnight tonight!
The forests of Sumatra and Borneo are home to critically endangered orangutans. These vulnerable animals stand at a population of only a few thousand -- and their situation is only getting worse as they lose more of their habitat at the hands of deforestation. Yet corporations like Procter & Gamble continue to source palm oil from companies that are pushing orangutans and other vulnerable species further towards extinction.
What’s worse -- these deforestation practices are leading to dangerous soil, air, and water pollution, causing serious harm to communities’ livelihoods! But hope isn’t lost, Friend -- we still have time to turn things around and protect these critical forests and the people and wildlife that rely on them. Will you join us before the loss is too great?
There’s too much at stake. Help stop deforestation and protect our planet: Donate $27 today!

Forests like the rainforests of Indonesia are important carbon sinks that store 36 years’ worth of fossil fuel emissions! But instead of appreciating these forests for the protection they provide, P&G’s suppliers are cutting them down and making a major contribution to the 18% of greenhouse gas emissions caused by global deforestation.
In fact, Indonesia alone has lost nearly 10 million hectares of primary forest in the past two decades!
But big corporations like P&G continue to be complicit in decimating these critical forests with no consideration for the people and the planet. On top of this, they are profiting from a long history of violent land grabbing abetted by Indonesian security forces and implicated in illegal deforestation.
While Procter & Gamble has promised to address these gross abuses, it is not moving quickly enough. We need to increase the pressure and show that we need action now -- before it’s too late and our ancient forests are gone.
Protect critical forests and the people that depend on them. Rush your $27 donation now and help us reach our $3,185 goal for the planet before the clock strikes midnight!

The importance of these forests can’t be overstated, Friend -- they are home to 10% of the world’s known plant species, 12% of mammal species, and an impressive 17% of all known bird species. What’s more, they act as important carbon sinks that help curb fossil fuel emissions. Without healthy forests, we can’t have a healthy planet.
But companies are taking over these lands for profit, cutting down the rainforests and emitting huge amounts of carbon back into the atmosphere. In fact, deforestation is a key driver of Indonesia’s status as a top greenhouse gas emitter!
Friends of the Earth is pushing companies like P&G to cut ties with conflict palm oil companies and fighting tooth and nail to stop the reckless destruction of vital Indonesian forests. But as you read this, local communities are still being denied the rights to their land and endangered animals are pushed into increasingly smaller habitats. The clock is ticking, Friend, and we can’t win this fight without your help.
Your membership gift today will allow us to demand that P&G source only conflict-free palm oil for its products, require informed consent from local communities that rely on the forests, oust climate deniers from its board, and help us fight for a just, sustainable future. Please, will you donate $27 or more today and help us reach our $3,185 goal to stop these injustices and protect our planet?
Precious forests, endangered wildlife, and more are on the line, Friend. Donate $27 or more immediately and help protect ecosystems and the planet from corporate greed!
