Remember Lincoln Logs?

(No don’t leave, I promise this isn’t about to be an extended Abraham Lincoln metaphor!)

When you were a kid and you built something you were really proud of – like out of blocks or popsicle sticks or a big blanket fort – did you ever have some other kid come along and knock it all down?

Terrible, right?

That’s what politicians and special interest groups are trying to do to our movement right now. Let me break it down for you.

Over the past ten years, our movement has won over 170 victories in towns, cities and states across America to root out corruption, give power to the voters, and make our government represent us better.

Now we’re seeing a backlash from corrupt politicians that want to knock our blocks down. Will you pledge to join us in taking action to defend our victories?

On one side there’s a nationwide strategy to undo many of these victories. On the other side there’s you and me.

City by city, state by state our movement runs campaigns to get government working for the people. But with so much success comes an increasingly loud opposition. Now, on top of notching more wins for voters, we have to defend victories we’ve already won.

We have a solid game plan to fight back. We know that when the time comes we’ll rise to the occasion.
