Rubio Bill Would Restrict Gender-Confused from Military Service |

On Thursday, Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) introduced legislation that would prevent individuals who identify as transgender or who have gender dysphoria from serving in the military, with some exceptions. Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) introduced companion legislation in the House. The lawmakers have emphasized that the bill's purpose is to help the Pentagon stay focused on "military readiness" and not on complications that ensue from gender confusion in the ranks. |

The Chinese Communist Party has continued to destroy churches, arrest and abuse Christians, forcibly "disappear" clergy, prevent believers from expressing their faith online, and attempt to coerce Christians into proclaiming Marxist principles from the pulpit in place of the Holy Bible. ChinaAid's new report, including a "partial list of persecution cases in 2022" broken down by province, takes up 20 pages. |

As Book Battles Erupt across the Country, Idaho Turns to Legislation |

A school board meeting in Anchorage, Alaska took a testy turn last week when a local dad decided to read aloud from one of the books the district was using to promote "tolerance." "We hear so much about 'diversity, inclusion, and equity,'" Jay McDonald said. "[But] we don't often see specific examples ... So today I brought an excellent representation ... from one of the books that was just recently purchased for our libraries." He barely made it three sentences before the vice president of the board ordered him to stop. |

If you were reared in evangelicalism, revival is a familiar term. In my childhood, so-called "revivals" were typically a pre-planned week of special services where an itinerant preacher would come to the church and give nightly evangelistic messages. Truth be told, these "revivals" were planned to fuel actual revival, but they in themselves weren't revival. |
