The Oil Giants were in the news again yesterday: Centrica (British Gas) made £3.3 billion profit in the last year alone.

The same year we saw our energy bills double - and more scorched harvests, rising sea levels, and wildlife extinctions.

The oil giants argue that they need profit to reinvest in the green transition. But instead they choose to scale back their green transition plans! They can talk green all they like - their actions show that they care more about profits than the planet. 

The government has the power to act. The decisions they make today will determine the future of every living thing on earth. Yet our politicians do nothing.

We’ve had enough of inaction.

So the plan is for at least 100,000 people to join together outside Parliament from the 21st to the 24th April to tell the Government that we cannot afford to wait. This will be historic.

Millions of us agree: we need meaningful action on climate change now. But we’re not getting the solutions we need, and our politicians have shown us that we cannot trust them to act in our interest.

The 21st - 24th April is going to be the biggest climate protest the UK has ever seen - different from anything XR has ever organised before. Bigger, more accessible and more inclusive, with broad support from environmental organisations and the public. Peaceful, family friendly, and rewarding.

We invite everybody - everybody is needed.
