Essential tree maintenance works kick off 20 February until 10 March on Derby Road, Lenton Boulevard and Castle Boulevard - but these works will be phased and only take place 9am-3pm to ensure we keep Nottingham moving.

⚠️ A52 Derby Road - the westbound lane (leaving the city) between QMC and the Priory roundabout is closed until mid-March. The eastbound lane (heading towards the city) remains open and a diversion route is signposted. Buses including the 35, 36, Indigo and Medilink are affected

Linking up City Centre Cycling Routes🚲
🚴‍♀️ Works continue at the Station Street/London Road junction on the latest phase of our City Centre Cycle routes, linking the east and west of the city with safe segregated cycling infrastructure.
Various, mainly off-peak lane closures will be required throughout the project as we complete the project to join the segregated cycleways nearby and install marked on road cycle lanes through the junction, improve pedestrian crossing facilities and more.Â

Nottingham announces we'll continue to go above and beyond on concessionary travel
Nottingham City Council will announce at its Executive Board meeting on Tuesday 21 February that it will continue to go above and beyond its statutory duties when it comes to helping older and disabled people who live in the city get around.Â
Nottingham City Council will continue to:

Provide free travel on the tram for older and disabled people (again 9.30am-11pm weekdays and all day weekends and bank holidays)Â

Provide a companion pass, giving free travel to a carer or companion for those with certain disabilities, including those who are blind, have a severe walking disability or a severe learning disability and would have difficulty travelling aloneÂ
- Provide additional free travel on the bus or tram for disabled city residents from start of service – 9.30am.

ÂŁ2 single bus fare on all Nottingham buses until March 2023
Don't forget to take advantage of the ÂŁ2 bus single fare cap! A woman has travelled from London to Edinburgh on ÂŁ2 buses - how far will you go?Â
Until 31 March, a single bus journey will cost no more than £2 on most routes across England, thanks to the government’s Help for Households campaign. All local bus operators in Nottingham are taking part in the scheme.
