Eleanor Holmes Norton has served as Washington, D.C.’s representative in Congress for fifteen terms, where she has made critical progress in her fight for D.C. Statehood and full representation for all D.C. residents – even as a non-voting member of the House.
While Washington, D.C. has a population of over 700,000 – more populous than several U.S. states like Wyoming and Vermont – D.C. residents are still not represented in the Senate.
But Rep. Norton is working to change that – and she’s uniting House Democrats in support of her D.C. Admission Act to make it happen.
