I’ll be honest, folks: In a moment, I'm going to ask you to contribute to help us reach our mid-quarter fundraising goal. But first, I want to take a moment to explain why your support is so important, especially today.

Although next year’s elections might seem far away, election forecasters are all signaling that 2024 is going to be incredibly challenging for Democrats. We’re defending 23 Senate seats, including some in very competitive states (like Wisconsin!).

Not only that, but Republicans only need to flip two seats to regain control of the majority. So much of what we’ve accomplished over the past two years could be at risk if Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans take control. Just recently, some Republican senators threatened to make cuts to Social Security — and we don’t want to think about all the other things they’ll do when they’re in power.

To prepare for the tough election ahead, my team set an ambitious mid-quarter fundraising goal, and it’s really important to me that we hit our target. Early investments now will prepare us for what will end up being an incredibly expensive campaign down the road.
