The February 28 deadline to renew your 2023 SPLC membership is
approaching fast.

friend,

For more than 50 years, the Southern Poverty Law Center has led the
fight against our era's ugliest, most dangerous threats to
justice and equality. We've put Klan organizations out of
business, forced neo-Nazi propagandists into hiding and stood up to
violent, anti-immigrant extremists.

But we've never been more alarmed than by what we're
seeing right now.

In an intensifying backlash to the decades of progress dedicated
partners like you have helped us make, an energized and growing white
nationalist movement has become the most potent political force in the
country. And it's taking direct aim at the rising power of Black
and Brown communities. The U.S. Supreme Court has eviscerated the
right to vote. After Congress failed to restore the full power of the
Voting Rights Act, reactionary state legislators throughout the South
and beyond have passed draconian voter suppression measures and used
gerrymandering to marginalize Black and Brown votes.

Following the January 6 insurrection, white supremacy has become more
overt, more normalized and far more violent. It is in times like these
that all of us at the SPLC are especially grateful for your dedicated
commitment to our shared mission. The February 28 deadline to
renew your 2023 SPLC membership is approaching fast. Please renew your
membership with the SPLC today and continue helping us uphold our
deepest values and uplift human rights for all.
