Lead>Defend + Foundations



Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock
The Lead>Defend Conference has been designed to equip this next generation of leaders to develop and defend their faith. Lead>Defend is for high school and college students, as well as young adults, while Lead>Defend Foundations is for middle school/junior high and will feature powerful times of worship, fun breaks, and practical breakout sessions led by key leaders from around Arkansas. Early-bird registration ends February 20.

One Day: Serve Local

One Day: Serve Local is a missions movement that happens on one day—Saturday, April, 1, 2023—where churches plan and participate in service-based missions projects to make Kingdom impact in their local community. Over the last three years, more than 5,900 Arkansas Baptists have “served local,” resulting in 351 professions of faith.

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering

The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, March 5–12, is the primary way Southern Baptists fund missions in North America. One hundred percent of gifts given to the offering go to the field to support more than 2,400 missionary families serving across the United States and Canada.

You can become a trained, credentialed Disaster Relief volunteer by attending regional training. Pray First: Loving Our Muslim Neighbors During Ramadan

The Islamic holy month of Ramadan will be observed from around March 22 to April 21. During this time, Arkansas Baptists will be fervently praying for the Gospel power of Jesus Christ to transform lives. Join us as we continue putting prayer first, loving the nations next door and sharing the Gospel with them. We will equip you with devotional material and prayer prompts each Wednesday during Ramadan via email.

Thrive Collective

Thrive Collective is a one-day workshop for women’s ministry leaders. It will take place on Saturday, April 22, at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. This will be a focused time for women’s ministry leaders to cultivate relationships with one another in an interactive setting. Thrive Collective is a place to find encouragement, ideas, inspiration, and friendship as we grow together with each other and God.

Block Party Festival

The March 11, 2023, Statewide Block Party Festival will include a community Block Party. Partnering with Beebe First Baptist Church, block party teams are asked to bring their trailers to set up. Trailers will be asked to set up games from their trailer, with a focus on any that may be unique to their trailer. This will give churches and associations interested in starting a block party ministry the opportunity to see a block party take place and to learn particular skills necessary for an effective ministry.

Super Summer

Registration opened February 1. Super Summer Arkansas is a camp sponsored by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, with funding provided by the Cooperative Program. Super Summer Arkansas takes place each summer on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia. It is split into two camps: Super Summer JV, serving campers who have completed grades 6–8, and Super Summer, serving campers who have completed grades 9–12. Both camps have adult leaders who attend one or both camps as adult chaperones.

PraiseWorks + JoyWorks

PraiseWorks ([link removed]) and JoyWorks ([link removed]) are worship arts-focused camps for students who have completed grades 7–12 and grades 3–6, respectively. Campers have an opportunity to worship, learn about worship, and gain skills for leading and participating in worship. The camps will be held July 10–14 on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University. Registration opens March 1.
