UNFPA is in the region right now, working urgently to distribute blankets and warm clothes to survivors on the ground.
Hi friend,
I'm Jacob, Digital Director here at USA for UNFPA.
I'm following up because we were so grateful for all our supporters who stepped up and rushed an emergency donation to help fund blankets and warm clothing for the survivors of the horrific earthquakes in Syria and Türkiye.
But as the media moves on from this tragedy, we've seen a real slowdown in donations. We need to make sure that we can keep scaling up our distribution of blankets, warm clothing, and other essential care items before temperatures plummet in the region again later this week.
UNFPA stays on the ground to support survivors even as the cameras turn away. But we can't do that without your support. Will you rush an emergency donation to fund relief in Syria, Türkiye, and wherever it's needed most today? You can use the secure link below to make your generous gift -- it only takes a second to deliver lifesaving care:

Subject: “It is extremely cold" - Earthquake Survivor Ameera
“It is extremely cold, we need blankets, mattresses and winter clothes: We are sleeping in public parks after our home collapsed.”
This heartbreaking update is what Ameera shared with us as she was sitting, exhausted, in the freezing temperatures of Aleppo, Syria in the aftermath of last week’s massive earthquakes.
We want to be honest with you about conditions on the ground in the aftermath of this devastating earthquake, friend:
Essential medical supplies have been wiped out across the two countries
Hundreds of health centers, maternity facilities and safe spaces have been flattened
Survivors who weren’t killed by the earthquake are freezing in the bitter cold
With the death toll continuing to rise, we know how paralyzing a tragedy of this size can feel. But today, we have the opportunity to turn that shock, fear, and despair into action.
Your gift will deliver lifesaving sexual and reproductive health care to women and girls in more than 150 countries around the world. Thank you for being there for every woman and girl.
