[link removed] [[link removed]] John ,
Rep. Seth Moulton was just featured in an important Boston Globe column [[link removed]] . We believe it is spot on, and want to highlight it for you in case you missed it!
Did you know that between 1965 and 1975, veterans made up 70 percent of Congress? Today, that number has plummeted to only 18 percent. That staggering drop has coincided with a dramatic rise in partisanship in our politics.
Just like Seth told the Globe: What’s lacking in Congress is not intelligence. It’s courage.
That’s why Seth prioritizes getting things done in Congress—whether that means working across the aisle or standing up against the hyperpartisanship that has made our politics vitriolic and our legislative process inefficient.
John, often, it is the veterans and service-oriented candidates who have the courage to stand up to our own parties. It’s these candidates who have the courage to go against the partisan grain and move the needle forward.
Simply put: We need more of that. If you’re able, please consider chipping in $15 or more today to Seth’s campaign so that he can continue working to cut through the noise and demonstrate the ways our elected officials can work together on behalf of the American people. [[link removed]]
Politics should be about public service. It can be about public service. But it will take courage from our politicians to look beyond the partisan fight of the day, and to stand up for things because they are right, not just because they are popular.
Thanks for all you do,
Team Moulton
