Today makes it official, John — there are only three months left until Pennsylvania’s 2023 municipal/judicial/local primary elections.

That might seem like a lot of time, but it’s going to fly by. Civically engaging, registering, and mobilizing Pennsylvania’s voters takes a lot of time, energy, and money.

All of these efforts are essential to expanding our electorate and ensuring Pennsylvania has a more reflective democracy.

We need to make the most of every month, week, and day we get to overcome the many obstacles in our way, John. Would you pitch in $10 right now to keep our efforts strong for the next three months, and beyond?

The primary election is just around the corner, and before we know it, we will be heading into the election in November! Our organization continues to be one of the only organizations on the ground year-round, consistently conducting voter registration in the communities we center.

The time to protect our democracy is now. Not only are our local, municipal and judicial elections crucial for our democracy; engaging voters now also sets us up for success in the future.

Every voter we mobilize this election helps to create super voters who will make their voices heard in every single election. The more voters we mobilize in our communities, the more candidates will realize they need to pay attention to the needs of our communities. And the more candidates pay attention to the needs of our communities, the easier it becomes to civically engage them in the first place.

John, we’ve made a lot of progress with the help of our grassroots supporters, but we still have a long way to go to make real the promise of democracy. Will you donate $10 right now to help us keep up our momentum and win a true democracy for our historically disenfranchised communities?

The New Pennsylvania Project
-------------------------------------------------------

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
