Let's get right to it — we [posted]([link removed]) a meme of Xi Jinping on our Instagram with the caption "Hey Xi! Your ass is too tight."
An hour later, four people had seen it. Us, the artist, and two others. Instagram pulled the post from people's feeds, and they did it automatically.
What the hell!
But maybe it was a coincidence . . . shadowbanning makes you think you're seeing things. So we [posted again]([link removed]), but this time we started with, "Hey X*! Your ass is too tight."
Spot the difference? One lousy asterisk . . . and the post was doing numbers. That's a global algorithmic ban on telling Xi his ass is too tight.

We all know social platforms shadowban, but they still say they don't. They keep lying about it, and we keep letting them.
And it matters! Social media changed our media landscape irrevocably. For most people, this is the main source of news and public discourse.
And we've lost it completely to a few lousy billionaires who are content to let any petty tyrant impose their twisted vision of the world on the rest of humanity.
Well it may be too late . . . but we're going down swinging.
