Hi. My name is Jay Harlan, I’m a lifelong Texan, and I recently switched my support from Pete Buttigieg to Elizabeth Warren.

I still like Pete, but as I learned more about him, I realized that his policies are not progressive enough to create the kind of change that we all want and need. And most other candidates' plans are not progressive enough to actually effect real, noticeable change either.

I switched my support to Elizabeth Warren -- and I’m doing it loudly and proudly. My neighbors see her plans as big and exciting, but also, sound, common-sense, and workable. They know she’s run the numbers, they add up, and big corporations and the wealthy will finally pay their fair share.

And with Elizabeth Warren, I can look people I care about in the eyes, knowing her plans will bring about the big, structural changes that our current situation demands on everything from climate to fighting corporate greed to un-corrupting our government. That mix of inspiring, needed, and practical is what’s needed to motivate voters in November.

If you want to be able to look your kids in the eyes and say you rose to this moment -- and your neighbors in the eyes and invite them to join you -- please join me in endorsing Elizabeth Warren for President.

We all have to do what we can to help her in Iowa and New Hampshire. So please consider donating, making calls from home, or packing your bag and volunteering in Iowa.

I feel like I can knock on any door in Texas and convince them to consider Elizabeth Warren over Donald Trump. I can’t say that about Bernie. Or Pete. Or Biden.

Warren has a "spring in her step" and shows optimistic enthusiasm. She has a forceful conviction in her voice that inspires people as she holds big corporations accountable, and fights for our families. I think voters will pick up on her energy and she will sweep us to victory and a much needed new day in America.
