Attached below is the KCDC Legislative Update for this week.  Please feel free to share.

If there are mistakes or you would like me to follow bills not currently in the update, please let me know.

Friday, February 24th is Turnaround Day. This is the deadline for non-exempt bills to be out of the house of origin.  There are fewer hearings and more final action early in the week on bills that are non-exempt. Also, there are few to no committee meetings starting on Wednesday. The House and Senate will be spending most of those days in session debating bills.  Monday, February 27th and Tuesday, February 28th the legislature will not be in session.  They return on Wednesday, March 1st.

If you are following certain bills or subjects, please check the calendars every day. They are published the night before, so you can see tomorrow's calendar tonight generally after 5:00 pm. Next week the time may be later because of all the activity the House and Senate are doing.

If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
