Just a week ago, we launched the 2023 Eggsposé. And let me tell you… we got the food industry’s attention.
Our aim was to break the radio silence and demand accountability. When companies stopped publicly reporting on their commitments to stop confining hens in painful cages, thousands of changemakers like you showed up in a big way.
Together, we let those companies know they needed to publicly own up to their plan to end cages now.
Here’s a run-down of the last week:
- Over 150 different media outlets, including Yahoo! Finance, picked up on the Eggsposé. Our report is reaching as many as 93.1 million people. 🔥
- Some companies featured in the Eggsposé are blocking many of our campaigners’ emails—which means every message you send gets through where our team can’t. Help us by keeping up the barrage!
- Companies are also disabling comments on their YouTube videos, blocking people on Instagram, hiding replies on Twitter, and shutting down their own chat platforms. They don’t want changemakers like you speaking up where the world can see.
This is progress, but we aren’t finished yet.
