Fellow Republican,
We never thought we’d have to say this, but border security is
one of the top duties we expect from our federal government!
It’s ridiculous that Democrat members of Congress are fighting tooth and
nail against one of their sole responsibilities, leaving Republicans to
have to fight to protect our citizens from foreign threats.
For example, last week a pair of Somalian "refugees" were arrested in
Tucson, AZ, accused of providing material support to ISIS, effectively
preparing for an attack on our homeland.
People on the Left will try to convince you (or scream at you) that a
nation’s borders are arbitrary, and should not be enforced.
This is more or less a new ideology they have adopted in order to
oppose Trump!
Five years ago, even the most radical, socialist Democrat politicians such
as Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer would pay lip service to voters saying
we need to protect and secure our Southern Border.
That was until the mainstream media painted Trump’s statement expressing
the need for a physical wall at our border as a ridiculous notion. And,
like the good little sheep they are, the Left pounced on it, creating the
talking point that illegal immigrants crossing our border should be able to
take advantage of our social programs as a human
right.
Of course, you, and I, know the truth...
The United States is full of innocent people deserving of protection, and
take our word for it that we welcome legal immigrants who want to
assimilate to our culture and thrive in it.
What Republicans have a problem with, are the caravans of people we know
nothing about that are marching to the Southern Border with THEIR
nation’s flag high in the air, and DEMANDING we let them
in.
That’s not immigration, that’s an invasion.
If you want to come to America for a better way of life—wonderful! By all
means, come in and take advantage of the opportunities we provide. All we
ask is that you do it the right way.
Tighter border security and proper vetting is essential to a nation’s
survival. The type of people actually seeking asylum would respect our
customs enough to follow them.
We must not give in to the hysteria and emotional appeal that Democrats
repeatedly employ to undermine our nation’s security.
