Through this series, When We All Vote is highlighting some of the people who work with us to ensure their communities are registered and ready to vote. So many of us make history every day, and we are proud to honor these Black Historymakers.

How do you want to be remembered as part of history? How do you honor that in your everyday life?
"I want to be remembered for taking any knowledge and any power that I had and leveraging that for someone else's voice to be heard or for someone else to be seen.
When it comes to honoring that in my everyday life, I want to make sure that I am recognizing other people's genius. There is still a democratization of voices that exists. We still only value the voices of people who look a certain way, have a certain education, have a certain connection, and are from a certain place – but that's not real. Me recognizing that and working to empower those voices is an honor within itself. Everything really circles back to Ubuntu."
