Midnight tonight marks the midway point of our current fundraising quarter, but as it stands, we are not quite halfway toward meeting our quarterly goal. We’re pacing a bit behind.
Like Joe (my campaign manager) explained yesterday, we are once again working from the ground up. Our fight to keep IL-17 blue took every dollar we raised to win and a lesson we learned from our first campaign is that we need to build a war chest sooner rather than later to ward off attacks and challengers. In a swing district like ours, it’s important that we don’t fall short.

Fundraising has taken a back seat over the past few weeks. It’s been busy with speakership drama that delayed the swearing-in of the 118th Congress, committee assignments, and bringing forth legislation. I can’t wait to fulfill my promises from the trail and bring more comprehensive change for a brighter IL-17.
