Last year, a huge number of voters came out to support reproductive freedom. Even in states dominated by the Republican party, like Mitch McConnell’s own home state of Kentucky, voters rejected anti-abortion amendments and refused to let anti-abortion zealots turn back the clock.
Democrats, Independents and even Republicans turned out in much higher than expected numbers in support of abortion rights, sending a booming message that this crucial issue transcends party lines.
Staying on track with our goals is critical if we’re going to be able to harness that grassroots energy across the country to defend our Senate majority and take back the House next year. As we survey a very difficult map for 2024, we know that advocating for reproductive freedom is the pathway to victory.
As Tina continues to fight in the halls of Congress to restore abortion rights for all, we must simultaneously build our organizing capacity to support strong pro-choice candidates — all fueled by sheer grassroots power from teams just like this one.
