Friends,
Let us introduce ourselves. Hi, we're Climate
Courage!
Climate Courage is the direct action wing of 350 Mass.
We use street theater, nonviolent civil disobedience, and
other creative actions to target the fossil fuel industry and its
supporters.
We're part of a nationwide movement targeting JPMorgan Chase,
the world’s leading lender to the fossil fuel industry. We also
partner with other direct action groups confronting the climate crisis
and ecological breakdown, including specific targets such as the
Weymouth compressor station and the
coal-burning plant in Bow, NH.
We have several actions planned as we ramp up for a big show
on Earth Day. (See the announcement below.) We envision
growing these efforts in part through encouraging formation of
affinity groups and providing training on design and implementation of
direct actions.
Want to join us? Sign up here and we'll keep you in the loop about
future actions and training opportunities.
In solidarity,
Climate Courage

Solidarity Opportunities
Support Corporate Fair Share: After years of
underinvestment, Massachusetts’ transportation systems are at a crisis
point. We need significant new revenue for investment in
transportation. At the same time, far too many large corporations pay
only minimal taxes here by exploiting loopholes, tax breaks, and
offshore tax havens. Ask your legislator to support corporate fair
share!
Support the MA Indigenous Legislative Agenda: There
are five bills in the 2019-2021 legislative session that would benefit
Indigenous Peoples. Learn more about the Massachusetts Indigenous Peoples
Legislative Agenda here and support it here.
Safe Communities Act Hearing: It's past time
people in Massachusetts stand up and say loud and clear: Immigrants
are welcome here. The Joint Committee on
Public Safety and Homeland Security will hold a public hearing on the
Safe Communities Act. You're free to testify, but even if you don't,
you make an impact with your presence. RSVP here and see the Facebook event. Fri, Jan 24, 11 am, Gardner
Auditorium, Massachusetts State House, 24 Beacon St, Boston.
No War on Iran! U.S. Troops Out! Global Day of
Protest: The Trump administration is dragging the
United States into a war that could engulf the whole region and turn
into a global conflict of unpredictable scope and the gravest
consequences. It's time to demand clearly: no war on Iran and U.S.
troops out of the Middle East! See the Facebook event. Sat, Jan 25, 1-3
pm, Massachusetts State House, 24 Beacon St,
Boston.
